“If I had an hour to solve a problem and my life depended on the solution, I would spend the first fifty-five minutes determining the proper question to ask, for once I know the proper question, I could solve the problem in less than five minutes.” Albert Einstein
I love this quote because it quite simply says that to find the right answer, direction or decision, you need to re-frame the question, situation or challenge. By looking at the situation from all possible angles you will often find the right question that will lead to the right answer.
So the next chance you get to solve a problem or have to make a decision, start by asking ‘why’ and that just might lead you down the right path.
This absolutely sucks because the next time I see a pair of shoes that I really, really, really want, I better be ready with a good answer to my ‘why do I want it?’
