Go home and love your family

81D9ED45-2260-4112-BAD7-DE59ED263804.JPGOk…here’s the deal. I love, love writing. It’s one of my fave things to do. But I just can’t seem to find the time to do it…consistently. Every gift that I get from a close friend has something to do with writing. A journal, writing prompts, pens, pens, pens…really, really pretty pens! It’s so important to have people who pour gas on your fire.

Anyway, I was challenged by a friend to do 21 days of posts…hence these posts. Literally…each day I have no idea what I’m gonna say. But it’s been awesome, because the last few days I’ve had my eyes wide open looking for opportunities…inspiration.

This morning I had nothing. Nada. Zilch. Came home for lunch and thought ‘Wow! I can’t believe we’ve had that Christmas wreath for 13 years!’ We purchased it at Zellers for $12.99. Zellers is now closed. Target replaced them. Target is also no longer…in Canada.

After I snapped the pic, I checked in with a girlfriend to say ‘Hey girl hey!’. We got talking and she was telling me that in the last 2 weeks there have been a few deaths in her circle. Young people, older people. Sick, recovered, pulled through, didn’t make it.

So here’s my thought…tomorrow’s not promised. Companies fail, new companies start, friendships lose their flame, others start. (WHOA…that rhymed!). Things change. Over time. Instantly. The hustle is good…fun…but not absolutely necessary. Take time for what matters most, it’s the perfect time of year to recalibrate.

If you want to change the world, go home and love your family ~ Mother Theresa (you know how the internet is…I wasn’t around to witness MT say this, but you know…)
