A few minutes ago this kid read Lamentations 3 to me. I was half listening, half preparing breakfast but fully asking myself how did he end up in Lamentations?
He stopped at verse 20 and says ‘This is so bad mom’ and I’m like yes it is. The mom in me, trying to get him to look on the bright side said ‘but you know in the middle of all that bad stuff God is still good.’
I kid you not! He then said ‘ok let me continue reading.’ In my head I’m thinking ‘please don’t.’ He did. He continued reading.
In verse 21 everything turns around. Like it’s the complete opposite. It’s all about hope. He stopped at verse 24.
So this morning I’m reminded that there’s always better to come because God’s mercies are new every morning. (If you don’t own a Bible, google it and have a read. I’m sure it’ll encourage you today)
