At dinner tonight, Sai was telling us that his class was tasked with building a robot. They then had to engage the robots in a ‘tug of war’ to see which robot was the strongest. The robot’s strength was judged based how immovable it was.
The convo was timely. Recently I’ve been thinking about strength and how important flexibility is, the stronger you become.
The bamboo is one of the strongest raw materials around. Apparently its strength rivals that of steel. But despite its strength, it also moves easily in the breeze.
Strength and flexibility are not mutually exclusive…it’s the way it should be.
