Today’s Noahism
Setup: We’re about to read the Bible before bed and Noah asked me to read tonight. Midway through the reading he says “Mom, your accent is coming out. You might want to tuck that back in!”
He’s referring to my Trini accent. Some words I’ll never know how to say without an accent. The boys and some friends (some friends they are 😜) don’t let me live it down. But hey…whatever is inside is bound to come out.
- If you think thoughts or say something mean and you’re like ‘I have no idea where that came from!’ or
- If you try something new and was shocked at your bravery and say ‘I don’t know where that came from!’
I do…I know where it came from. The truth is that whatever is inside will come out. Negative, positive, courage or fear.
To end off our time together Noah started singing ‘Be careful little eyes what you see…there’s a Father up above and He’s looking down with love, so be careful little eyes what you see.
Often I have to tuck my crazy back in and check my heart. Heart checks happen often around here. So thankful that my Heavenly Father looks down with love.
This kid gets me every time. Every. Time.
