This was tonight’s stage pre-show. At the time of this pic, despite the emptiness, there was a palpable buzz of excitement. A few props were in place yet I have no idea what they would be used for. There are entrances and exits that those who grace the stage will use, but who and when was unknown.
A few minutes after, the beat dropped, the music started, the actors came out and the show began. I cried (shocking…I know), I laughed, I hugged Rob, held Noah’s hand, checked across at Isaiah, I kept getting words to write while trying to focus on the show.
The stage reminded me of this next year. The stage is all set for me. Props are in place, I know bits of what’s to come, but for the most part it’s unknown. Despite the unknown, there’s a palpable buzz of excitement because I know it’s gonna be good! The beat will drop, there will be tears, laughter, nudges, hugs, hand holding and hopefully lots of writing.
To quote Hamilton…I’m not throwing away my shot.
Thank you everyone for your love, calls, texts and shout outs. The fact that you took time out of your day to reach out made this girl feel crazy loved.
