Do they know it’s Christmas time at all? So you should know that a few years ago I made a decision to stop watching the news. There’s a saying that the only part of news that celebrates man’s accomplishments are the news on sports. Right? The fact is that news, like any other prime time show, is in it for the ratings…and you know how that works.
Anywho…the only time I get the news is if I actively go seeking it out. Aleppo. That’s where my heart is right now. I ask myself ‘do they know it’s Christmas time at all?’ I love Christmas. To me it means hope and because of that hope, I have joy. It’s the time of year when we choose to celebrate Jesus’s birth. There’s supposed to joy. Joy to the world. But my reality isn’t everyone’s reality.
When you have more than you need build a longer table not a taller fence. There are needs all around if only we’d open our eyes. So today, I’m looking for a way to bring joy (or at the very least…food) to those who may not even know it’s Christmas time. There are so many local and global humanitarian organizations around. Would you help too? Do a little research and spread a little joy.
Oh and that giant clothes pin among those balls…there’s a funny story to that…for another time 😜
